Ms. Maccini joined Howd & Ludorf, LLC in 2005. She graduated from the Boston College, Wallace E. Carroll School of Management (B.S. 1993) and received her law degree from University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D., 2001). Before entering the legal profession she worked as a corporate sales analyst for a major retailer. During law school, she served as an active member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board and received an award for Best Brief in the William H. Hastie Moot Court Competition, 1999. In addition, she received the CALI award for outstanding achievement in the study of Law and Forensic Science, 2001. Following graduation, she served as a Law Clerk to the Judges of the Superior Court of the State of Connecticut. Thereafter, she worked for three years as an associate at a civil litigation firm in southern Connecticut, concentrating in the practice areas of medical malpractice, employment law, and general insurance defense litigation.
Ms. Maccini is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut and in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association. As a member of the municipal law group, she regularly represents municipalities, police departments, and boards of education in both federal and state actions throughout the State of Connecticut on a wide variety of issues.
From 2009 to present, Ms. Maccini has been recognized with distinction by her peers across New England as a Rising Star Super Lawyer.
