Michael T. Lee obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from Portland State University (2008) in Oregon. He was a perennial member of the Dean’s List, achieved numerous semesters with a perfect 4.0 GPA, and was awarded the Economics Faculty Award at graduation for his academic excellence. Mr. Lee earned his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law (2011) in San Diego, California where he focused his studies on trial practice and maritime litigation. After law school, Mr. Lee returned home to Seattle where he practiced law at a maritime litigation firm, defending vessel owners/operators, carriers and other maritime employers in the defense of personal injury and death claims arising at sea and along shoreside environments. In this capacity, Mr. Lee also advised businesses and insurers on coverage issues and contractual matters, and provided risk assessment and analysis to corporate clients with multijurisdictional exposures. Mr. Lee also served on the Board of Directors for an insurance claims association based in Seattle, Washington. Before moving to New England and joining Howd & Ludorf, LLC, Mr. Lee worked at a nationally recognized criminal defense firm where he tried more than a dozen high-profile felony cases to verdict in federal and state courts.
